DOOLEYS provides table tennis facilities to enable its members and their guests to participate in sports, recreational and community activities. If you wish to play table tennis for social or competition purposes you may wish to become a member of DOOLEYS Table Tennis Club.

Table Tennis games are held on Sunday, Tuesday and Friday every week throughout the year at the John Meaney room (upstairs).

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF DOOLEYS TABLE TENNIS CLUB

  • Eligibility - You must be a member of DOOLEYS Lidcombe Catholic Club.
  • Fill-out the Membership Form.
  • Turn up at the John Meaney room on Friday (after 7.00pm), give the form to a Committee member and pay $2.00 for your annual membership fee.

TABLE TENNIS RULES

All players are required to wear suitable clothing and shoes and observe DOOLEYS Code of Conduct. You may be disqualified from participation if you fail to observe these Rules.

Friday – Weekly Handicap Competition (from 7.00pm) 

  • Reserved for members of DOOLEYS Table Tennis Club who participate in the weekly handicap competition.
  • To participate, you must be a member of DOOLEYS Table Tennis Club.
  • The Games Organiser will play a brief game with you, assess your skill level, assign a Handicap point to you and register your name for the competition which commences at 8.00pm.
  • DOOLEYS provides vouchers valued at $15, $10 and $5 as the prizes for players who win the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place respectively in this weekly Handicap Competition.

Sunday (from 7.00pm) – Social & Family games

  • All patrons of DOOLEYS, their family members and guests can play regardless of their skills level.
  • Each player can only play a maximum of 20 minutes in each turn (singles or doubles games)
  • The time to change playing turn will be at 7.20pm - 7.40pm – 8.00pm – 8.20pm –8.40pm – 9.00pm etc.    
  • All players must leave the table at the above set time regardless of the status of the games so that other players can take their turn.

Tuesday (from 7.00pm)

  • Reserved for Table Tennis Western Sydney (TTWS Competitions from February to November. You are welcome to attend as a spectator but you cannot play.
  • Available for Social & Family games if there are no TTWS competition matches being scheduled. A time limit of 20 Minutes applies.
